About Our Company.
How it all started:
Back in 1996 I noticed that a lot of businesses were curious about the internet for advertising. I quickly saw an opportunity to start a local community website and offer website development and advertising services to local businesses. LBI.net is born. In 2010, I changed my company domain “nealcomm.com” into a national local directory site. 36000 community sites in one.
However, my dream was to create a full featured online poker site. Yes, I am still working on the software for this site. I had hoped that it would be legal in the US by now. It is not likely to become legal any time soon.
Then I ran across a penny auction site in the early part of 2011 and never looked back. I instantly knew that I could write the software for it. Because of my work on the poker site and many other projects. I spent all of 2011 and part 2012 doing research. And yes, I know most of the potential pit falls and problems related to the penny auction industry. I am sure I have more to learn. If you have any information you think a new penny auction site owner should know, feel free to call. 609-713-9028 any time.
I started writing code for AreaBids in Jan 2012. I now understand why most small penny auction sites start with off the shelf software. It is a complex undertaking.
I then had to determine the size of the market and how I could enter this market successfully. I see that the size of the penny auction industry is shrinking and that reputation of this industry has suffered due to bad software, bad owners, bots, shills and god knows what else. I still see opportunity in the penny auction industry. Fewer sites and less competition. Although there are less bidders, there is still a lot of bidders. Just look at the biggest sites.
I have determind that if we can gain the trust of PA bidders by providing great customers service, great software, super fast delivery and a fair and honest bidding environment then we would have a great chance of success.
Our objective is to create a tradition penny auction site that would have a low entry point for our members. Allow our members to participate and have fun playing, and still give all members a reasonable opportunity to win prizes.
Neal Communications owns and operates AreaBids.com, also owns LBI.net and Nealcomm.com and has been in business since 1996. Paul J Neal is the President and owner of Neal Communications.
